Emma Grabenstetter, a senior at San Marcos Senior High School, is an active member of her community, contributing leadership and activism through different forms. She is the president, ambassador, and founding member of the Youth Wellness Council, an organization that works to de-stigmatize mental illness in the youth community. Emma is also a volunteer for Brand New Congress, working on the congressional campaigns of working class people, working to take the money out of our government leaders. Additionally, she helps lead Daisy and Brownie Girl Scout Troops, employing an empowerment and leadership curriculum for the young girls. She is most passionate about environmental protection, intersectional feminism, mental healthcare for all, racial equality, LGBTQIA+ rights, immigration, and socioeconomic issues. Emma hopes to pursue a career in public policy and politics, working to create a better future for our country and the generations after us.
