Hometown Hero
Established in 2011, Idaho’s Hometown Hero Medal pays tribute to individuals who embody unique characteristics and achievements that are uniquely Idaho. The community-nominated honorees are remarkable Idahoans who exemplify outstanding qualities in their personal and professional lives, while continuing to preserve and promote the richness of Idaho. These men and women are awarded for their selfless and unending efforts to create a better world for everyone and ultimately for the future due to the present-day achievements. Idaho is an incredible place, but it is the people of Idaho that make it a great state.
After becoming the first Idahoans to receive the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor, Drs. Fahim and Naeem Rahim were inspired and founded Idaho's Hometown Hero Medal under the JRM Foundation for Humanity.
