As a mindfulness effort for our community, the JRM Foundation Youth Ambassadors spearheaded an operation to provide winter blankets, essential winter jackets, 72-hour Emergency Hygiene Kits, and dental supplies to families and seniors in need at the Fort Hall Reservation, which is home to the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes. The JRM Foundation Youth Ambassadors conducted a blanket drive through the community and the Foundation partnered with Adult Protection Services in Pocatello to fulfill this winter essentials request for home-bound seniors and families in need. Among its many services, Adult Protection Services works to prevent elder abuse within the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes. Collaborating with them on this project has been a fulfilling opportunity to add hope and comfort to the many challenges of 2020.
This winter project led by the JRM Foundation Youth Ambassadors is a testament to the power of today’s youth, as they warm up the lives of those in great need. The JRM Foundation Youth Ambassadors collaborated with the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe and Pocatello community members to gather and distribute the supplies in time for the holiday season and cold winter ahead.
The JRM Foundation is sincerely grateful to those who helped complete the efforts of this project by donating blankets and funds to make sure there was warm clothing and important health and hygiene supplies in the homes of these families in need.
